conference photoThe purpose designed conference facilities at Expo Centre Johannesburg are sophisticated, easily accessible venues that include provision for parallel conference sessions, breakaway rooms, alfresco refreshment areas and five star in-house catering services.

The exhibition, events and conventions industry in South Africa has much to be proud of, in that this multi-purpose venue has dedicated exhibition facilities that are the largest in Africa. The Expo Centre can offer over 42 000 square meters of covered space, and an additional 40 000 square meters of outdoor, multi purpose space.

 

All this is accessible from multiple entrances, with all infrastructural requirements being provided, such as banking facilities, telecommunication services, five star in house catering facilities, and ample and secure parking for up to 20 000 vehicles.

 

The Expo Centre is fortunate in that we are easily accessed via highways, leading from different directions and, more importantly, the flow of peak traffic is in the opposite direction. With a plethora of exciting tourist attractions located in close proximity to us, such as the Gold Reef City Casino, Gold Reef City historical village, the Apartheid Museum, shopping malls and a variety of restaurants, visitors will have a host of activities to undertake whilst attending conventions, exhibitions and events at the centre.

The facilities of the venue can be configured in many different ways, meaning that intimate conferences of 10 delegates to international conventions of 15 000 delegates can be hosted. Recently unveiled was our new state of the art convention venue. This multi-purpose venue has two levels including a column free area downstairs, which can accommodate 300 delegates, and has a dedicated boardroom and reception area. Upstairs, an “African Chic” theme prevails with a dedicated bar, lounges and al fresco dining area making this the perfect venue for conferences, cocktail receptions, themed events and product launches.

In addition, the Main Arena can accommodate an impressive 20 000 people. With so much space available, easily adjusted to suit any needs, the Expo Centre is able to host any national or international event.
